Thoughts from my daughters...
My sister asked the question to my two girls: How do you feel about your mother getting the cochlear implant? This is their response, directed at me...
K (Age 13): Its going to be different. You’re not going to be able to hear for a month, (post surgery, recovery time before "switch-on") you’ll be hearing a lot of sounds you’ve probably never heard before, and it’s probably going to be frustrating and overwhelming for you. So, Lauren and I are going to have to help you out. I’m kind of nervous, but I’m also really excited for you. This is a big change and hopefully it will be for the best.
L (Age 16):I hope its going to be a lot easier for you. For instance, in the car, etc. Its going to be different and difficult for a while. But in the end, I hope its going to be worth it. It will be interesting to see what this new technology does and how it changes your perspective. I’ll be calling you the “Bionic Mom” or at least the bionic ear, now.

Hi Suzue, your CI is going to be an amazing journey into the hearing world. My CI has markedly improved my quality of life. My wife has been my intrepreter for years. This has removed a great burden from her. This is one journey I am very glad I took.

I believe not good headache is serious worst my implant.
I know stiff neck my implant also lots of pain headache. I am scared. I hate implant is risk bad headache. I don't believe what is happened my experience past of long time past........ I know I am sad really before start 11 years old change chaso loss my behavior, I told serious > i want to remove implant. I want to hope be happy make sure inside feel smile. I believe you I think so both yuo have my experience both really. I have bother headache or buzzing noise.

I am happy to respect to people support to checking lots my implant. They are important to cause sick on tittani that is not good.
I am happy that people support with respect to have my implant checked because I get sick with tittani that is not good.
I know experience lots of pain is not good help nothing work understand and hearing. I don't think so expensive really worth lots of lousy that is meaning waste of time focus on the speed the hearing. I don't like that is not good technology.
I know the experiences that it is so much pain and it is not good. Nothing to work to understand and hear. I don't think it is so expensive that is worth to waste to focus on hearings with implant. I don't like the technology that doesn't work on me.
I guess I am opinon not sure why are guess problem in maps the computer. I don't know why see people didn't understand. some people doesn't help focus education can't do it listening or more practice will fail on the homework. I know some people have poor write not good english.

They are deaf people don't know why are not like teach people. But some ignored to people doesn't help learn more english be mature. I don't really think not sure nothing undrstand.
